About me
Hi! I'm Claire.
I am a theatre professional currently based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I have had the great pleasure of working on shows all over the state of Iowa. I primarily consider myself an actor, however, I have started focusing on directing and intimacy choreography, while dabbling in dramaturgy work and sound design. I am always looking for opportunities to further my craft and become a better storyteller.

UPCOMING PROJECTS
MS. HOLMES & MS. WATSON - APT 2B by KATE HAMILL
In December 2023, I will be directing Kate Hamill’s adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous detective stories. This ensemble project will feature two women (!) as Holmes and Watson. Hamill’s play takes Sherlock into 2022, where we are still recovering from the Covid pandemic (both literally and emotionally) and we see these two unlikely new roomates grow in their relationship to one another...and maybe solve a murder along the way!
Macbeth BY WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
I recently adapted one of Shakespeare’s spoopiest tragedies as apart of my coursework at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. My particular take on The Scottish Play sets the story sometime in the dystopian future. AI beings are all but the norm...however the three AI’s operated by human generators that Macbeth stumbles across are all but ordinary. Will Macbeth be led to his destiny? Or his destruction? Kyle Shedeck has written original music for the production, and the show is actively being pitched to theatres...so stay tuned!

ROMEO AND JULIET by WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE
In 2022, I created, directed, and starred in (incidentally-a story for another time) my own adaptation of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. The show premiered at Iowa City Community Theatre. I designed the set, sound, and edited the script down so that this show really was the "two hours traffic of our stage." That's right folks, she really can do it all! If you are interested in a copy of my adaptation, please feel free to e-mail me at ClaireIBoston@gmail.com.
A WALKING SHADOW BY JOE LINK
In 2020, during the pandemic times, I directed an online premiere of Joe Link's A Walking Shadow. This production was apart of Theatre Cedar Rapids' Halloween Play Festival. The show ended up winning "Best Overall Show" in the festival, and it was later recorded and shared to the public. You can check out the production yourself here:
